Garda, the town of Veneto region in Italy

Garda is a small town and a commune located on the Lake Garda in the Verona province of the Veneto region in Italy. With the population of about 4,000 people it is one of the smallest towns of the province. Lake Garda is the largest Italian lake, situated at the foot of the Alps, in a picturesque region of southern Europe and only 30 Km from Verona, 100 Km from Milan and 130 Km from Venice.

Despite its small size Garda have much to present to the tourists. Through its not very long history the small town managed to gather quite a lot of architectural monuments. Among the most visited are The old village of Garda, Villa Albertini of the 16th century, the Captain's Palace or the Venetian Palace of the 14th century, Villa Carlotti and the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. And the most beautiful natural wonder of Garda is he old Rock of Garda, which is located 300m above the town. It is a very nice place to have a look on the whole Lake Garda.

Apart from tourism Garda is famous for its agricultural capabilities. Here are grown lemon trees, oleanders, magnolias and bouganville. The cultivation of vineyards and olive groves produces good wines and olive oil. Many kinds of sports such as tennis, paragliding, free-climbing, scuba-diving, clay-pigeon shooting, carting, sailing and windsurfing can be practiced in the town of the surrounding areas.

There are no luxurious 5-star hotels in Garda itself, but you can book a wonderful holiday house in Garda and we promise that it won’t disappoint any tourist. In all holiday houses are available all the modern amenities such as cable TV, wireless internet, gas, central heating. And of course you can practice your favorite sports like golf or horse riding.

Viking Line builds unique ferries
